5" or 9" wide hay rack easily fits on most wire cages.
Galvanized steel finish, with attachment wires which are easily bent to attach to the wire cage wall. It is also available in many colors!
It is designed to attach to the outside of the cage so that animals can pull the hay in through the cage wall.
I just got my first Chinchilla, and most of his original home had plastic accessories and such. As a loving chin parent, I've been working to transition his home into a plastic-free safe space. This hay rack is perfect because it keeps the hay out of Bucky's cage (keeping it fresh and clean), but easy for him to reach. The size is reasonable, allowing him a decent amount of hay, but not more than he would eat in a week (so I can keep the rest sealed away for freshness). The design is simple and clean, and gives his home a sharp look. Another great aspect worth noting is that the wire hooks and teeth on the bottom of the rack are straight when received, allowing the user the bend them to fit their particular chin's cage. I'd recommend having a wire cutter and pliers on hand, but its not really too difficult to assemble- I actually had fun with it. Immediately after attaching the rack to the cage, my Bucky was already standing at the rack ready to tear out some fresh hay!
The design itself is quite nice but unfortunately the manufacturing process was unfinished when I received this item. Luckily I'm handy and know my way around tools but for those who don't this would be a problem. The ends of the wires that hold the hayrack to the outside of the cage were not bent into hooks. I had to do this myself. Otherwise I do really like this company and what they are all about and trying to achieve.
This hay rack was a wonderful choice and is chew proof! Very happy with it.
I got the 9 inch hay rack, and when it arrived, the wire was uneven on either side, so I had to even them out in order to attach them to the cage, which was difficult to do because it is very sturdy, thick wire. Also, I don't know if it's just because my chin does this, but quite a bit of hay still ends up on the floor outside and inside of her cage, possibly because she digs through it at night when I'm not watching. So, still pretty messy, but better than just putting hay in a cardboard box on the floor of the cage or on one of her shelves.
Great for holding the hay in our chinchilla's cage. We have some metal bowls they eat hay/pellets out of as well, but they enjoy standing up to dig through the hay or even standing on top of it! This seems to be a better holder since it won't bend and break over time when they put their weight on it!
Sheet Metal Hay Rack
This hay rack is great quality and helps reduce the mess inside the cage! My chinchilla also seems to eat more of his hay now that is has been lifted off his wooden shelf and stays clean.

Makes my life so much easier knowing my chinch always has access to hay
